The American roots blues is a rich expression of early American culture.  It's filled with a deep expression of feelings, turmoil, happiness, repression and story telling.  The music emanates from deep within the hearts and souls of the people who wrote, sang and passed the songs to future generations.  Like poetry, I encourage you closely listen closely to blues music from this period in American history.  The country blues infuses themselves into the marrow of your bones and permeates into your soul.  They are a spiritual tribute to those that have left a musical legacy and to those who continue to keep then alive.

I'm influenced by the music of Son House, Howlin' Wolf, J.B. Lenoir, Furry Lewis, Mance Lipscomb, Big Bill Broonzy, Robert Johnson, Fred McDowell, Skip James, Ma Rainey, Memphis Minnie, Sonny Terry, and many more great blues men and women.  Their music continues to inspire my passion for the blues.
